Tufting Supreme Acrylic Kreoho® - Limelight 250g

Regular price €13,30

Description

Tufting Supreme Acrylic Kreoho® Limelight 250g is an acrylic yarn developed to deliver a compact, uniform and textured visual finish, ideal for tufting applications, textile art, crochet, knitting and other creative textile projects. Its optimized structure allows efficient material usage, promoting balanced coverage and high yield even when using a single thread with a tufting machine.

The Limelight shade features a bright and fresh lime yellow tone, with a luminous and dynamic visual effect. It is particularly suitable for vivid accents, graphic details and energetic palettes, helping bring brightness and immediacy to the textile project.

The blend of Dralon® and Leacril® acrylic fibers contributes to a matte wool-effect texture, creating a fuller, more defined and visually pleasing surface. The yarn structure also promotes even and balanced coverage, enhancing shapes, colors and details within the textile project.

Benefits

Tufting Supreme Acrylic Kreoho® has been developed to deliver a more compact, uniform and textured visual finish, combining aesthetic quality, technical efficiency and ease of use.

The blend of Dralon® and Leacril® acrylic fibers contributes to a matte wool-effect texture, creating a fuller, more defined and visually pleasing surface, particularly suitable for tufting projects, textile art and contemporary decorative surfaces.

Main benefits

  • More compact and uniform tufting surface
  • Matte wool-effect texture without animal fibers
  • Dense and well-defined coverage
  • Optimized cone yield and reduced material waste
  • High wear resistance
  • Easy to wash and maintain

Thanks to its structure, the yarn allows visually cleaner and more balanced surfaces, enhancing shapes, colors and details within the textile project.

It also enables efficient work even with single-thread use, improving cone yield and contributing to a more efficient use of the material.

Estimated Yield

For a 10 × 10 cm surface created using the tufting technique with a pile height of approximately 10–15 mm, around 10 g of Tufting Supreme Acrylic Kreoho® yarn are required.

This approximately corresponds to 0.7 – 1.3 kg of yarn per 1 m², depending on pile height, density and technique used.

These values are indicative and may vary depending on machine configuration, number of yarn threads used and working technique.

Recommended Use

Applications

  • Manual or machine tufting (rugs, wall art, decorative surfaces)
  • Crochet
  • Knitting

Compatibility

Compatible with all Kreoho® tufting machines, for both cut pile and loop pile applications.

Usage configuration

The use of the yarn as a single thread is recommended, as it allows:

  • higher cone yield
  • more efficient consumption
  • less waste
  • better density control

Using the yarn as a double thread is possible, but it is important to ensure that the diameter of the needle hole is suitable to guarantee smooth yarn flow and avoid jamming during use.

Knitting needles / crochet hooks

  • 3.5 – 4.5 mm

Things to know

  • The weight of the cone may vary slightly
  • The displayed color is indicative – the shade may vary slightly from the photo
  • It is recommended to purchase the required quantity in a single order to avoid differences between batches

Care and maintenance

Acrylic yarn is generally easy to wash and maintain. It is recommended to follow the standard care instructions for acrylic products, avoiding high temperatures and aggressive treatments in order to preserve the quality of the material over time.

FAQ

How many strands of Supreme Acrylic should I use with a tufting machine?

Supreme Acrylic is a yarn optimized for use as a single strand with a tufting machine. One strand provides good coverage and smooth feeding through the needle, while also optimizing material consumption.

It is also possible to use two strands at the same time, for example when you want to increase the volume of the project. In this case, it is important to make sure that both strands move freely through the needle hole of your tufting machine without creating friction or resistance while working.

How much Supreme Acrylic yarn do I need for a tufting project?

As a reference, a 10 × 10 cm area with a pile height of approximately 10–15 mm requires an average of around 10 g of yarn.

Actual consumption may vary depending on line density, pile height, the number of strands used and the working technique. A 250 g cone can therefore cover approximately 0.25 m² of tufted surface.

Which projects is Supreme Acrylic particularly suitable for?

Supreme Acrylic is suitable for projects where you want to achieve good material definition, a compact surface and an even finish. The structure and quality of the yarn help enhance shapes and details in the design.

It can be used to create rugs, wall art, textile decorations and other Fiber Art pieces. As an acrylic yarn, its relatively low weight is also an advantage for large-scale pieces designed to be hung on walls.

How should I clean and care for a project made with Supreme Acrylic?

For the regular care of rugs, wall art and tufted pieces, we recommend removing dust and surface debris regularly. For small stains, it is preferable to clean the affected area locally with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, avoiding excessive rubbing of the surface.

For items that are suitable for washing, follow the standard precautions recommended for acrylic fibres: use low temperatures, mild detergents and avoid high temperatures or aggressive treatments. In the case of a tufted piece, however, it is always important to consider the other materials used, such as the primary cloth, adhesive and backing, before proceeding with a full wash.

Can there be colour differences between different production batches?

There may be slight variations in shade between different production batches, although with acrylic yarns these differences are often barely noticeable compared with those that can occur with wool yarns. For large projects or large areas in the same colour, we nevertheless recommend purchasing the full quantity required from the outset.

To compare colours and evaluate shades and combinations more accurately, the Supreme Acrylic Kreoho® Colour Shade Card is available.
